October 28-November 10, 2022
SCEF Thanks You for Your Participation!
The Read-A-Thon is a free 14-day program (Oct 28- Nov 10) that celebrates reading while raising funds for San Carlos School District schools. Participation is optional and voluntary!
The goals of the Read-A-Thon are:
Build a love of reading with our students and raise money for our schools.
Get to 100% student sign-up/participation across the district.
Raise $200,000 for our district.
How It Works
Students start reading on October 28 and log minutes in the Online Minute Tracker.
Set up a pledge page and ask for contributions.
Donors contribute on the reader’s online pledge page, and share the link with friends and family! Donations are tax deductible, and no amount is too small. All parent donations also count toward annual SCEF giving.

Log Your Minutes

Each student will use the Online Minute Tracker via Google Forms to log their reading minutes. Teachers can view a student’s daily minutes, individual overall minutes, and the total reading minutes per classroom “team.”
You can PRINT this Reading Log to keep track of your minutes throughout each day, then enter your total later in the Online Minute Tracker.
ALL minutes count: reading in class, reading on your own, being read a story, listening to a read-aloud on video or audio, attending an author event, reading poetry, etc.
Parents: Help your child log their minutes so their classroom can win prizes!
