State Funding

WHY PAY FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL

In a nutshell, the state doesn’t provide enough funds per pupil to provide San Carlos students with a well-rounded education. With an investment of more than $2.4 million from our community, SCEF is a vital partner to the District providing nearly 6% of their annual budget. We raise essential funds from parents, community members and businesses to ensure that our children receive a quality education.  Donate today and help ensure that San Carlos public schools remain strong.

The San Carlos Education Foundation (SCEF) is absolutely instrumental to the success of our district and our students. For many years, SCEF has raised the funds that bridge the gap between shrinking state funding and the true cost of providing an outstanding educational experience for our children, including reduced class size, librarians, music and art programs, physical education, counseling, and much more. Because of the continued support of parents, community members, and local businesses, SCEF has grown and supported our schools so that they remain among the best and highest achieving in the entire state of California.
