Join the fun at the annual Derby Day event at San Carlos Hometown Days on Saturday, May 16, 2026. This exciting FREE community event features unique, gravity-powered race cars designed and built entirely by SC Charter middle school students. Come and cheer as they race their creations down the Arroyo Ave. hill.
It's a fantastic, family-friendly way for the entire San Carlos community to come together, enjoy the lovely May weather, and celebrate student ingenuity.
The Derby starts right after the Hometown Days Fun Run, approx 10:15am.
